The main focus of the Working Wardrobe is that clothing shouldn't be a barrier to employment and this project will help ensure a lack of disposable income won't stop students from accessing career opportunities whilst also giving new life to unwanted clothing.
This Project aims to:
Give students access to a professional outfit suitable for interviews, free of charge
Ensure less clothing goes to landfill sites and gets a second life.
Create opportunities for student collaboration by running fashion upcycling events.
Give experience in a retail environment.
What will volunteers be doing in the project?
There will be a range of ways you can get involved ! From promoting the wardrobe and reaching out to businesses for donations to sorting through clothing and helping to run weekly wardrobe sessions. The project is in its infancy so you will be able to shape the future of the working wardrobe.
