Advance tickets are now available for the Preston–Burnley campus bus, giving Medicine students greater certainty when planning their journeys.

Following feedback from students through a Students’ Union survey, the University has introduced advance ticketing in response to concerns about bus capacity and uncertainty around securing a place.

Tickets are currently available to purchase for travel up to the Christmas break. Tickets for the next semester will be made available at a later date.

If you regularly travel between the Preston and Burnley campuses, we recommend planning your journeys in advance and securing your ticket where possible.

The University has confirmed that it is not currently able to extend the bus route to Royal Blackburn Hospital or Burnley General Hospital, or provide an additional bus service or lunchtime journeys. The full reasons and further details are set out in the attached information from the University.

Read the full update below for further information about the bus service, ticketing arrangements and travel to placement sites.
