It has been a busy few months and I wanted to share an update on what I have been working on since my last update.

I have been elected as the next Vice-President of Liberation and Equality at the NUS! - you can read more about that here: Avery is the new NUS VP of Liberation and Equality
Closer to home, I helped coordinate part of the national Make Misogyny a Hate Crime campaign which has now gathered over 20,000 signatures, organised LGBTQIA+ History Month events at short notice, supported students at the vigil for Carla-Maria, and participated in interviews for the new Identity and Inclusion Communities Coordinator.
On the students' union leadership team, meetings have resumed with a clearer direction on priorities emerging. I want to be transparent that accessibility was put to a vote when it should not have been, and we are actively working to address this.
The Student APPG lobby day in parliament won us an inquiry into the student funding system, massive win for us!
As always, please get in touch if you have any questions.
