We're delighted to announce the results of our 2026 Elections, which saw a turnout of 2,027 voters.

Hannah Mason, Deputy Returning Officer, said:

“I can confirm that the Students’ Union has conducted a free, fair, and transparent election process. Throughout the election period, we received one complaint, and after a review, no further action was required.”

Our newly elected Students’ Union Representatives were surprised by the outcome:

Adam Smith said:

“I’m in shock. I genuinely did not think I would get elected so it’s a massive surprise, but it’s something I truly believe should have happened.

“You’ll be seeing lots from me in the coming months, getting ready to take this role on, implementing realistic policies.”

Emma-Louise added:

"I'm still in shock and I feel like I'm in dream"

Alicia Cartwright, our new Students’ Union Representative (Governance) also had the following to say:

“I’m slightly shocked but very excited. I want to make the Union transparent and accessible so everyone knows they can really get involved.”

Our new Reps will officially start their terms on Wednesday 1st July 2026, when we’ll say goodbye to our current team of Molly Martin, Avery Greatorex, Tin Chak Yee and Abigail Beavan
