Welcome to the Marrow Society!
ULanc Marrow is one of over 50 student-run branches of Anthony Nolan, a national charity that runs the UK stem cell register. We recruit potential stem cell donors to the register, in the hope that they will one day be a match for someone with blood cancer in need of a lifesaving transplant. We also do important fundraising for Anthony Nolan, to allow them to carry out their ground-breaking research and support patients and their families. By joining ULanc Marrow you will not only gain an array of professional skills but will be directly finding lifesaving matches for people with blood cancer.Marrow is a fantastic opportunity to get involved with volunteering, meet new people, and become part of a massive community that works to save lives.
Throughout the year, we run donor recruitment events, signing people onto the stem cell register. Each person we sign up has the potential to give someone a second chance at life!
