University of Lancashire Floorball origin story

  • We established the club in October 2023 after the founding members stumbled across this sport and we haven't looked back since
  • Since then, we have had over 390 different people play, participated in a friendly against Durham Floorball, and won the "rising stars award" at the ACE's in May 2024. We hosted the UFL in March 2025 which saw 200 players from 8 universities compete. We hosted a Friendly tournament in April 2025 and participated in a friendly hosted by Nottingham university . We purchased our very own IFF approved Floorball rink! And so much more!
  • The majority of our membership have never played (or even heard) of Floorball, so don't worry if you haven't either!
  • This is a exciting opportunity to be a part of a rapidly growing community

Annual Floorball membership info

  • £10 student membership, £20 associate membership
  • This membership gives you access to two training sessions per week, a typical training session will consist of drills to help develop your floorball skills and always includes a game!
  • Your membership helps us grow and develop the club - allowing us to purchase new equipment and facillitates the general running of the club

check our Instagram page for latest session times and updates. 🏒

Ongoing Student Group Elections

Medical Societies Committee By-Elections Autumn 2025

Medical Societies Committee By-Elections – Shape Your Student Experience! By-elections are now open for empty committee positions across all 16 medicine-themed student societies, including the central Medical Society and 15 speciality societies (e.g. Surgery, Paediatrics, Psychiatry, and more). These societies are entirely student-led and play a vital role in creating extracurricular opportunities, academic support, and a sense of community throughout your medical journey. Anyone can put themselves forward - you don't have to have existing experience on a society committee. We're looking for new faces, fresh voices and bigger ideas!

27 posts are up for election.

Nominations are now closed.

The polls are open and will close at 09:00 on Monday 8 December 2025 (in 13 hours)
