Flapjack Society
We’re a group of inclusive, diverse, and flapjack fanatic people who believe life is better with a flapjack in hand. Whether you’re a curious newbie, or someone who just wants to hang out with a lovely bunch of folks, we’ve got you covered (in syrup, probably).
Our mission? To unite the University of Lancashire students through the warm, gooey embrace of flapjacks. From bake-offs to tasting sessions and creative flapjack challenges, we celebrate the art and joy of these oat-filled treasures.
Why flapjacks, you ask? Because they’re not just a snack—they’re a way of life. Sweet or savory, crunchy or soft, flapjacks bring people together and taste amazing while doing it.
And remember, no matter how your day is going, flapjacks will never dessert you.

Every year, our student groups elect a new committee to lead their group into the next academic year. Being part of a committee is a fantastic opportunity to get more involved in the community at the University of Lancashire, meet new people, and develop valuable skills that will enhance your CV. You can run for a position on the committee, provided you are a member of your group. Students elected through this process will begin their role on 1 August 2026 and serve until 31 July 2027.
