Welcome to the Ahlulbayt Society!
Salam Alaykum Welcome to the Ahlulbayt Society page! We are an Islamic Society promoting and spreading the values demonstrated by the Holy Prophet and his Family (also known as the Ahlulbayt). All our events are catered to what our members want in a way that promotes growth and understanding of Islam as well as providing a friendly and warm atmosphere to form friendships and a community with other like-minded people. We like to host Dua (prayer), Celebrations of Wilada (birthdays) of the Holy Prophet and His family. We will also host Discussion Circles where members (and non-members) can discuss a broad range of topics from faith, politics and university life. We also run more casual events throughout the year such as games nights, quiz nights, trips out for meals and dessert. Every year, our student groups elect a new committee to lead their group into the next academic year. Being part of a committee is a fantastic opportunity to get more involved in the community at the University of Lancashire, meet new people, and develop valuable skills that will enhance your CV. You can run for a position on the committee, provided you are a member of your group. Students elected through this process will begin their role on 1 August 2026 and serve until 31 July 2027.
