Law Society – University of Lancashire. A student-led society bringing law students together through academic support, career development, and social events.

Welcome to the University of Lancashire's Law Society

The Law Society is a space for law students to connect, grow, and support one another throughout their legal journey. We aim to build an inclusive and engaging community where members feel confident to share ideas, voice opinions, and feel heard without judgement.

This year, our focus is on combining academic development, professional preparation, and meaningful social connection. We are working towards:

  • Creating accessible and inclusive socials for all members

  • Encouraging regular feedback so members can help shape the society

  • Supporting career development through guidance on vacation schemes, LinkedIn building, and professional skills

  • Exploring creative ways to host law talks and discussions, including virtual sessions and alternative spaces where needed

  • Providing opportunities for students to engage with the legal profession, including virtual law fairs and career-focused events

Whether you’re looking to meet like-minded students, build confidence, prepare for the legal job market, or simply feel part of a supportive community, the Law Society is here for you.

We look forward to an exciting semester ahead and building a society that truly reflects its members.

Medical Societies Committee By-Elections 2026

Every year, our student groups elect a new committee to lead their group into the next academic year. You can run for a position on the committee, provided you are a member of your group. Students elected through this process will begin their role on 1 August 2026 and serve until 31 July 2027. Could you be the next leader of your group?
