Food, Drink & Social Spaces Survey – Prize Draw Terms & Conditions
1. Promoter
The promoter of this prize draw is the University of Lancashire Students’ Union (“the SU”).
2. Eligibility
2.1 The prize draw is open to current students of the University of Lancashire only.
2.2 Participants must have a valid University email address or G number to verify student status.
2.3 Only one entry per student is permitted. Duplicate entries will be removed.
2.4 SU staff directly involved in administering the survey or prize draw are not eligible to enter.
3. How to Enter
3.1 To enter, participants must fully complete the online Food, Drink and Social Spaces Survey and submit their details before the closing date.
3.2 Entry into the prize draw is optional.
3.3 To be entered into the draw, participants must provide their full name and University email address at the end of the survey.
3.4 Contact details provided for the prize draw will be used solely to verify eligibility and contact winners and will be stored separately from survey responses.
4. Opening and Closing Dates
4.1 The prize draw opens on Friday 13th March 2026 at midnight.
4.2 The closing date is 9am on Monday 30th March 2026.
4.3 Entries received after this time will not be included.
5. The Prize
5.1 There are four (4) prizes available.
5.2 Each prize consists of £50 cash.
5.3 Prizes are non-transferable and no alternative prize will be offered.
6. Winner Selection
6.1 Winners will be selected at random from all eligible completed survey entries.
6.2 The draw will take place within 7 days of the survey closing date.
6.3 Winners will be contacted via their University email address.
6.4 If a winner does not respond within 7 days of being contacted, the SU reserves the right to select an alternative winner.
7. Data Protection
7.1 Survey responses will be analysed anonymously for research purposes.
7.2 Personal data collected for the prize draw (name and University email address) will be used only for administering the prize draw.
7.3 Personal data will not be shared with third parties and will be handled in accordance with the SU’s Privacy Policy and applicable data protection legislation.
7.4 Prize draw contact details will be deleted within a reasonable period after the competition has concluded.
8. General
8.1 By entering the prize draw, participants agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
8.2 The SU reserves the right to amend or withdraw the prize draw in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
8.3 The SU’s decision in respect of all matters relating to the prize draw is final.

Elections 2026 – Prize Draw Terms & Conditions
1. Promoter
The promoter of this prize draw is the University of Lancashire Students’ Union (“the SU”).
2. Eligibility
2.1 The prize draw is open to current students of the University of Lancashire only.
2.2 Participants must cast a valid vote in the 2026 Students’ Union Elections before voting closes.
2.3 Students must have a valid University email address and be enrolled at one of the following campuses: Burnley, Preston or Westlakes.
3. How to Enter
3.1 Students who cast a vote in the Students’ Union Elections will be automatically entered into the Elections Prize Draw.
3.2 No additional action is required beyond submitting a valid vote.
3.3 Students only need to vote once to be entered into all remaining daily draws and the relevant campus grand prize draw.
3.4 The earlier a student votes, the more daily prize draws they will be eligible for.
4. Opening and Closing Dates
4.1 The prize draw opens at 00:01 on Monday 23 March 2026, when voting opens for the Students’ Union Elections.
4.2 Voting — and therefore entry into the prize draw — closes at 3pm on Thursday 26 March 2026.
5. The Prizes
5.1 Campus Grand Prizes
There are three (3) campus-specific grand prizes available:
- £100 cash for one Burnley student
- £100 cash for one Preston student
- £100 cash for one Westlakes student
Each campus prize will be drawn separately and is only open to students enrolled at that campus.
5.2 Daily Draw Prizes
For each day of voting, the following prizes will be available:
- 1 × Students’ Union merchandise bundle (T-shirt, hoodie and tote bag)
- 1 × £10 Lampworks voucher
Daily prizes are drawn separately.
5.3 General Prize Conditions
- Prizes are non-transferable.
- No cash alternative will be offered for merchandise or voucher prizes.
- The SU reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if necessary.
6. Daily Draw Structure
6.1 Students who vote will be entered into every remaining daily draw following submission of their vote.
6.2 The number of daily draw opportunities available depends on the day the vote is cast:
- Votes cast on Monday 23 March 2026: eligible for four (4) daily draws per prize
- Votes cast on Tuesday 24 March 2026: eligible for three (3) daily draws per prize
- Votes cast on Wednesday 25 March 2026: eligible for two (2) daily draws per prize
- Votes cast on Thursday 26 March 2026 (before 3:00pm): eligible for one (1) final daily draw per prize
6.3 Students may only win each type of daily prize once.
6.4 Winning a daily prize does not exclude a student from being eligible to win a campus grand prize.
7. Winner Selection
7.1 Winners will be selected at random from all eligible entries.
7.2 Daily prize draws will take place during the voting period or shortly after voting closes, at the SU’s discretion.
7.3 Campus grand prize draws will take place within seven (7) days of voting closing.
7.4 Winners will be contacted via their University email address.
7.5 If a winner does not respond within seven (7) days of being contacted, the SU reserves the right to select an alternative winner.
8. Data Protection
8.1 Personal data will only be used for administering the Elections and prize draw.
8.2 Prize draw data will be deleted within a reasonable period after the competition has concluded.
9. General
9.1 By voting in the Students’ Union Elections, participants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
9.2 The SU reserves the right to amend, suspend or withdraw the prize draw in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
9.3 The SU’s decision in respect of all matters relating to the prize draw is final.
