Hi! I'm Emma-Louise, one of your Students' Union Reps.
I am currently a second-year Health and Social Care FdA student and am passionate about representing students and helping to improve their university experience. Before becoming an SU Rep, I served as a Course Rep during the first year of my course, which gave me experience in listening to student feedback and communicating students' views.
Alongside my studies and being a Rep, I am actively involved in student life and am currently part of the committee for the Japanese Society, as well as a committee member for other student groups. These roles have helped me develop strong teamwork, organisation and communication skills while working with a wide variety of students.
I am a good listener and enjoy supporting others. I have strong communication, IT and social media skills, as well as a good knowledge of health and safety. I am also a sociable and approachable person who is always happy to listen to students' concerns, answer questions and help wherever I can.
I wanted to become an SU Rep because I am passionate about making positive changes for students and helping to ensure everyone has the support they need during their time at university. One of my key priorities is advocating for and improving support for disabled students, making sure their voices are heard and represented.
Outside of university, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, crafting, completing jigsaws, going for walks and taking part in sports. I am also a fan of anime and regularly attend comic cons. I also enjoy following Japanese volleyball and football.
I am excited to get started in this role and to make the most of the opportunity to represent students. I look forward to meeting new people, hearing your views and helping to create a positive and inclusive experience for everyone.
