MSS Launch & Freshers Welcome is a free, informal walk-in event introducing the MSS to students and staff. Come along to meet the committee, learn more about MSS, take part in activities, enjoy refreshments and pick up some souvenirs.

Join the Medical Sciences Society (MSS) for our official Launch & Freshers Welcome event! 🧬💙

Whether you are a Foundation Year, Year 1 or Year 2 student, already a member of MSS or simply interested in finding out more, everyone is welcome. This is a relaxed, informal walk-in event, so you can drop in at any point between 11:00am and 1:00pm and stay for as long as you like.

Come along to meet the MSS committee, find out more about the society and discover what we have planned for the year ahead. We will introduce our aims and the opportunities available through MSS, including academic support, careers and employability, work experience and professional opportunities, networking, seminars, conferences, skills development and social activities.

There will also be plenty to get involved with throughout the event, including:

🔎 Scavenger Hunt – explore, search and put your skills to the test
🧩 Medical Sciences Crosswords – challenge yourself with science and healthcare-themed questions
🎨 Badge Making – create your own badge to take away
🍰 Refreshments – enjoy some food and drinks while meeting other students
🎁 MSS Giveaways – pick up some society goodies
🤝 Meet the Committee & Other Students – find out more about MSS and get involved

MSS welcomes students interested in the wider field of medical sciences, including laboratory science, medicine, dentistry, physician associate practice and other healthcare and scientific disciplines.
