This session is open to all student leaders, including Academic Community Reps, School Reps, Liberation Reps, Course Reps and Society Committee members who want to better understand how students can influence decisions and create change.
Every student has the power to influence their university experience, but knowing where and how to raise issues can sometimes feel overwhelming. This session introduces the different routes available to students for making their voices heard and creating positive change at Lancashire.
We'll explore the range of feedback, representation and campaigning opportunities available through both the Students' Union and the University. From raising concerns through representatives and committees, to submitting feedback directly, participating in consultations, launching campaigns and getting involved in democratic structures, you'll gain a clear understanding of the tools available and when to use them.
Whether you're supporting students as a representative, leading a society, or looking to tackle an issue that matters to your community, this session will help you identify the most effective pathways for turning feedback into action.
By the end of the session, you'll understand the different ways students can influence decision-makers and feel confident signposting others to the right channels for change.
