This session is open to all student leaders, including Academic Community Reps, School Reps, Liberation Reps, Course Reps and Society Committee members who want to use evidence and student insight to drive meaningful change.
Great student leaders don't just identify problems, they use evidence to make a compelling case for change. Whether you're representing a course, community, liberation group or society, understanding how to gather and use insight can help ensure student voices are heard and acted upon.
This session will explore how data, feedback and student experiences can strengthen your campaigns, proposals and conversations with decision-makers. We'll look at different ways to collect meaningful feedback from students, how to identify trends and common themes, and how to turn evidence into influence.
You'll also learn about the wealth of insight already available through the Students' Union, including survey results, engagement data and other sources of student feedback. We'll introduce the work of the Insights Team and explain how they can support student leaders to better understand their communities and build evidence-based arguments for change.
By the end of the session, you'll feel more confident using insight to identify priorities, back up your recommendations and demonstrate the need for action.
