As a student, you’re already a member with us! Here’s how to make the most of your membership.
Choose from over 70 student groups, covering everything from video games and dance to computing. Or start your own with our funding and support.

Connect with students from your Academic School or join a community based around your identity, faith or nationality for meetups and peer-to-peer support.
Share your feedback, vote or stand in our Elections, or get involved in one of our Union campaigns or changemaking projects.
From vintage fairs and food fairs to major live acts at our own venue, 53 Degrees, there are hundreds of events to enjoy throughout the year.
We have our own building at the heart of campus, with space to study, meet friends, or simply relax between lectures.
